These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the mobile application Double Translate AI (the "App"), developed by AquareonLabs ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Description of the Service
Double Translate AI is a mobile translation application for iOS and Android. It offers a unique "Double Translate" function, which translates text or voice to a target language and then translates it back to the original language to help users assess accuracy. The App leverages both on-device tools (such as Apple Vision and Google ML Kit for native text recognition) and cloud-based Artificial Intelligence models provided by OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft.
2. Age Restrictions and Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. However, due to differing local laws within the European Union, if your country of residence requires you to be older (e.g., 17 years old) to legally consent to data processing or app usage without parental permission, you must comply with those local age thresholds.

No Guarantee of Accuracy: Double Translate AI utilizes experimental, state-of-the-art Generative AI models (including Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT-5 nano). AI translations are inherently prone to hallucinations, omissions, contextual errors, and inaccuracies.

Prohibited Critical Uses: The translation outputs provided by this App are for informational and educational purposes only. You are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from relying on these translations for: medical or health-related purposes; legal documents, contracts, or courtroom proceedings; aviation, navigation, or safety-critical operations; any high-stakes business or personal matter where errors could lead to financial harm, physical injury, or legal liability.

Disclaimer of Warranties: The App and its content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from errors, mistranslations, or software malfunctions.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the App to:

Submit text or voice data that violates any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.

Submit highly confidential data, passwords, trade secrets, or protected health information.

Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App's backend infrastructure (Render, Supabase, Upstash).

Abuse the API endpoints via automated bots or scripts.
5. Intellectual Property

Our Property: The App's design, code, branding, logos, and specific features (such as the "Double Translate" workflow) are the exclusive intellectual property of the Developer.

Your Inputs: You retain all ownership rights to the text and voice data you input into the App. By submitting inputs, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to transmit and process your inputs solely to deliver the requested translation service.
6. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

Monetization Model: The App operates on a Freemium model. Basic features are ad-supported. Premium features require an annual subscription.

Billing: All subscription payments, transactions, and auto-renewals are handled directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Store) and are managed on our behalf via RevenueCat. Localized prices range dynamically from 9€ to 54€ per year depending on your App Store territory.

Refund Policy: We do not process refunds directly. Any requests for cancellations, billing corrections, or refunds must be addressed directly to the platform operator where the purchase was made (Apple App Store Support or Google Play Help), subject to their respective terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App's premium or free services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we believe you are violating these Terms or engaging in unauthorized or harmful use of the service.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kharkiv, Ukraine, except where local consumer protection laws provide mandatory local jurisdiction rights.
